June 2022

Dear Friends,

The Santa Fe Margarita Trail promises to be one of your most memorable Santa Fe adventures. This one-of-a-kind margarita experience allows you to taste more than 40 of the best margaritas in the world.  Kick start your tequila adventure at our Bell Tower Rooftop Bar and drink in one of New Mexico’s gorgeous sunsets while you’re at it!

A View Of A City At Night

This summer, a few of our friends join us in launching Centennial festivities!  New Mexico Magazine, the state’s go-to source for all things enchanted hits 100 long-earned years of journalistic excellence.  Notorious for offering up behind-the-scenes tips on hidden New Mexican treasured places and experiences, the publication has documented important state events for decades. Check out our favorite 2022 article, celebrating the Grand Hotels of New Mexico featured in the March 2022 issue.

And let’s not forget that the Southwest Association for Indian Arts, hits three digits this August!  I encourage you to plan your trip around any of the 100-plus unique Indigenous events, celebrations, and exhibitions taking place in New Mexico throughout 2022, but the ultimate way to mark the occasion is at the 100th Annual Santa Fe Indian Market in the very heart of the city. It is my absolute favorite time of year to connect with my dear artist friends and our guests who come year after year from far and wide.

A Group Of People Walking Down The Street

As we raise a glass to these iconic institutions that form the bedrock of our state’s distinct and varied cultures, let us keep it held high – and raise it even higher—for the firefighters, first responders and community advocates that have been working tirelessly to fend off the devastating flames that have been running rampant throughout the state.

Santa Fe has been fortunate that the fires have bypassed the Capitol, but we know other communities have suffered greatly. Areas around Las Vegas, New Mexico have been hit particularly hard.  Home of the former Harvey House, the Castañeda Hotel, the small town has been at the center for the region’s fire relief efforts. Allan Affeldt, our dear friend and owner of the Castañeda Hotel and chef Sean Sinclair and his wife Katey Sinclair, owners of Bar Castañeda, together reflected on what to do for their community in crisis and were quick to act.  They have been generously housing and feeding evacuees – reflecting their true kindness and selflessness.

Chef Lane Warner and the La Plazuela crew are at the ready to relieve the Bar Castañeda team and serve up some of our signature cuisine onsite in Las Vegas. A small gesture of unity and service, we want the community to know we’re ready and willing to offer our support. To donate to the restaurant’s tireless work, visit feedlasvegas.com. For more information, to sponsor a day of meals and for volunteer opportunities, email info@kinlvnm.com.

As we continue to welcome visitors to our wonderful city, we ask guests to be mindful of our state's precious natural resources. Conservation and preservation are top of mind during this very dry season. We can’t wait to welcome you to Santa Fe!
