Renew & Refresh

Dear Friends,

April in Santa Fe is a time when nature bursts forth with color, and there is no better spot to witness the City Different awaken from a winter slumber than our Bell Tower Rooftop Bar. We’re aiming to swing open our Bell Tower doors later this month. Keep an eye out for the official seasonal debut date and start planning afternoons perched at the best-looking place in town – while raising a signature margarita in honor of the gorgeous New Mexico sunsets!

Earth Day at La Fonda (April 22) always offers an opportunity to reflect on our green initiatives and take a collaborative look at how we can improve our operations for the collective good. Water is always top of mind going into the drier months, and we continue to remind visitors to the Land of Enchantment the importance of safeguarding this valuable resource. Our newly installed filtered water stations on each floor and reusable water bottles for guests is just one of our many eco-friendly initiatives. This month, our Sustainability Committee is planning a company-wide partnership with the Santa Fe Watershed to engage in a teambuilding and community action day, volunteering to clean up the Santa Fe River – located just one block from the hotel! You might be thinking, Santa Fe has a river?!  It sure does!  Each spring I am awed by the power it carries from the mountains through town and toward the iconic Rio Grande. I am so proud of our La Fonda family for stepping up to be good stewards of this precious waterway.

Background Pattern

In 2022 we welcomed Old Santa Fe Inn, a motor court to our “La Fonda Family”. The sweet property is located a few blocks from La Fonda at 201 Montezuma Avenue, and is currently being reimagined; already the lobby and dining room have been remodeled to highlight the rich color palette of the New Mexico landscape and features modern furnishings and a new and inviting fireplace framed with tiles inspired by Spanish mosaics – it's the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine from the Inn’s newly launched Bistro, showcasing New Mexico spirits, beer, wine and a thoughtfully crafted dining menu. Next time you stay with us, take a short walk along the riverside to explore the Inn and enjoy an evening at Santa Fe’s newest dining establishment.  Stay tuned for a fresh identity, a new name and a revitalized ambiance that promises to elevate the motor coach experience!
