Fred Harvey History Weekend

Please join us for the 13th annual Fred Harvey History Weekend and Fred Harvey Foodie Dinner and Auction, all to benefit the New Mexico History Museum. It’s November 4-7!

From 12:30-5:00 PM enjoy lectures and demonstrations on Fred Harvey, Santa Fe Railway and SW history topics at the New Mexico History Museum.

At 6:00 PM join us in the La Fonda Ballroom for the Fred Harvey Foodie Dinner and Auction, for which top NM chefs—John Sedlar, Lane Warner, Chef JohnnyVee, Marcel Rimmelieux and Michael Fram--reimagine classic Harvey cuisine, followed by a fundraising auction of unique Harvey and SW history items.

At 8 AM start the day with the Fred Harvey Weekend first-ever excursion train from Santa Fe to Lamy for breakfast at the restored Legal Tender Saloon. The train returns by 12:30 PM (and those who prefer to drive to Lamy can, and just reserve breakfast.)

At 1 PM enjoy the second day of lectures and demonstrations at the New Mexico History Museum.

Special tours are available in Las Vegas, NM (about an hour drive from SF) of the restored Fred Harvey Montezuma Hotel (now United World College), the restored Fred Harvey Castaneda Hotel, and the restored Rawlins Harvey Girl Dorm

At 6 pm enjoy a special Harvey-themed dinner in the Castaneda dining room, by award-winning chef Sean Sinclair.

Join us for a farewell breakfast at the Prairie Hill Café in the nearby Plaza Hotel, Las Vegas.

If you’re in Santa Fe Thursday 11/3, there will also be a special reception for the new art show, “Holy Ghosts” by Tina Mion, part of the husband/wife team that has restored Harvey hotels in Winslow and Las Vegas.
