Thanksgiving at La Fonda

We served over 550 people yesterday at our Thanksgiving buffet. Where else can you see two life-size Canadian Geese flying high overhead, carved completely out of ice, while at the same time, partaking of Chef Lane Warner’s top notch cuisine? The table had a bounteous array of colors and delectable offerings. Despite the size of the crowd, including a large group of long-time attendees, The Roads Scholars, the line moved quickly, keeping one and all satisfied. We even had one intrepid guest, Mr. Pipes, line up at 8:30 am for an 11:00 buffet; just to make sure he got the seat he wanted (sounds like some of the lines for the Black Friday sales!)

Hungry for 1st La Fonda Thanksgiving!

La Fonda also took care of its own by sticking to its long held tradition of giving a turkey to each employee, to make sure all had a bountiful meal. We at La Fonda have much to be thankful for, and I hope each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Purely in the interest of education, there are no Canadian geese. They are correctly called Canada geese: one Canada goose, two Canada geese. Learned this the hard way in my native New England!
