Great Breakfast! My friend Richard and I stopped and had breakfast at La Fonda this morning on our way to the gallery. We eat breakfast out almost every morning on the way to the gallery, so we know quite a lot about breakfasts at Santa Fe establishments. I hadn’t tried your restaurant for breakfast probably because we usually skirt around the west or east sides of downtown or sometimes stop on Cerrillos Road. In short, we were very impressed. Although the prices for breakfast are a dollar or two more than most of the other places at which we usually eat, your dishes are definitely worth the price! And, of course, the ambiance is really nice. Every dish I saw on tables around me seemed to have a little different New Mexico twist to them than other places in town. Richard ordered the breakfast trout dish. We were surprised to see an entire trout arrive rather than just a piece of fish. Definitely a very good value for what you get. And I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, and they were delicious. Jorge was our waiter and he was very friendly and worked the floor like a master, ensuring that everyone was well taken care of. The other wait staff were also very attentive and knew their jobs. Anyway, I just wanted to give you some feedback on our memorable breakfast. I will have to go onto tripadvisor.com and give you a 5 star rating for breakfast! We’re also adding La Fonda to our breakfast short list.
