I was not prepared for the extra little touches that set a fine hotel apart from a good hotel. Your attention to detail was evident everywhere, from all of the pillows on the bed to the chocolates at turn-down. And the layout of the hotel was quite intriguing - my particular room was in an ideal location. I could reach many of the meetings I was attending by going up a half-flight of stairs, or the lobby by going down one flight. I never used the elevator except for my luggage!  I had more available lighting than I can ever recall in a hotel room. Loved it.

The outstanding service began when we first arrived and Dave checked us in. We loved our room--beautiful and comfortable. Even the housekeeping staff was great. One gentleman went out of his way to make us feel welcome. I regret not getting his name, but he was wonderful.  I was at a conference being held at La Fonda and all the meals there were delicious! This year, my wife and I celebrated our 50th year of marriage and decided to take a trip for a couple of weeks. Part of that trip was in Santa Fe at La Fonda. We were upgraded upon arrival and it made our trip to Santa Fe even more special than we had expected. The restaurant there has always been one of my wife’s favorite places to eat. Everything and everyone there made our trip a very special one and I want to thank you for that. We will always remember it and we will be back.

I was thrilled with the hotel and how staying at La Fonda added ease and comfort to our trip. The entire staff was exceptional. Every request was met with a friendly can-do attitude. The Concierge was most helpful!!!!! What a blessing it was to have him available! Could be a new reality show: Can you stump the concierge at La Fonda? Answer: “no”. Also – the food was outstanding! We ended up having most meals in the hotel. Also a first time for a hot meal delivered to the room in a timely manner by a friendly and pleasing person.

During this, my third stay in four years at La Fonda, I found the experience better than I had remembered. My room sported a new, fantastic bed package, it was impeccably clean and the bath products were refreshing. I knew that there had been a restaurant renovation of the property since my last visit, yet words cannot describe the incredible refurbish of La Plazuela. The menu and service in the restaurant rivaled the remarkable redo. More than anything, however, the attentiveness, friendliness and can-do attitude of the staff is what continues to make La Fonda great – and makes me return.
