If you haven’t been in Tom Taylor lately, you’re missing a significant expansion of display space and merchandise made possible by opening up a back room and reorganizing the shop. Store owners Kim and Philip Spiers also repainted and added lighting, the better to showcase more bags, small leather goods, colorful new belts, and several new buckle artists to join the world-famous selection of handcrafted belt buckles and accessories.
The French Pastry Shop & Creperie
Classic French pastries are among the most popular items at the iconic café opening onto San Francisco Street. Individual fruit tarts, made from scratch daily with real butter and vanilla custard, come in several variations: raspberry/kiwi, strawberry, apricot, or mixed fruit. Larger tarts (such as the one pictured on their new website) can be ordered with just a day’s notice, as can special-occasion cakes such as the Montmartre and the St. Michel.
