After last year’s lack of moisture, we skiers have been in snow heaven this winter as New Mexico has seen some of the best snow in the region — better than Colorado and Utah! Back-to-back winter storms in December left us with over 100 inches in northern New Mexico, followed by sunny clear days in January that have kept a lot of us plotting how to play hooky.
It’s our winter sunshine that visitors notice most — New Mexico’s famous 300-plus days of it per year. That’s why every weekend you’ll find Santa Feans heading out to enjoy the snow, sun, and sparkling landscapes. Even if you’re not a skier, you can trek up any number of nearby hills on rented snowshoes, an affordable adventure that will give you the kind of appetite that we love to satisfy here.
We hope that you take advantage of this year’s great conditions and experience the winter side of Santa Fe!
See you on the slopes,
Jennifer Lea Kimball
