La Fonda offers both the city’s largest hotel ballroom and some of its most intimate and charming spaces, as well. All of our event rooms are splendidly finished in a rich Santa Fe motif of ornate beams, clay fireplaces, hammered tin chandeliers and much more.

La Terraza Room – This stunning banquet room has fast become Santa Fe’s preeminent site for dramatic weddings and receptions, offering breathtaking views of the St. Francis Cathedral Basilica and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Its hand-sculpted fireplace provides cheering warmth on winter nights, while french doors open to bring in natural light and expand this lovely space onto the lush La Terraza Garden Patio on warm and sunny days, spring through fall. Lumpkins Ballroom – For those planning a grand celebration this is Santa Fe’s Grande Dame of hotel ballrooms. For all its size, the Lumpkins Ballroom still evokes a sense of warmth and charm and opens to a skylighted Mezzanine. This space can accommodate up to 550 banquet guests or 750 for a reception. New Mexico Room – A colorful, historic room, replete with rich architectural touches, such as a hand-carved beamed ceiling and tin–and–glass chandeliers. This space can accommodate up to 180 banquet guests or 225 for a reception. Click here for more information.
Santa Fe Room – A smaller jewel of La Fonda on the Plaza is the Santa Fe Room. It boasts classic Santa Fe design elements such as a 25' high cathedral ceiling, hammered tin chandeliers and a carved tile wood-burning fireplace.
