La Fonda on the Plaza offers eight meeting rooms throughout the hotel that can accommodate everything from small group functions to weddings and receptions.
The New Mexico Room, at 2,460 square feet, can accommodate 180 for a sit-down banquet and 225 for a reception. It has a hand-carved, painted beamed ceiling and beautiful tin-and-glass chandeliers. It was the hotel’s ballroom in the 1920s.
The Santa Fe Room is a jewel offering a 25’ high cathedral ceiling, hammered tin chandeliers and a carved tile wood-burning fireplace. The room is intimate and charming and has 1,275 square feet that can accommodate 80 for a sit-down banquet and 100 for a reception.
The Coronado, Exchange and Board Rooms are ideal for small group functions or break out rooms, as is the Stiha Room next to the Ballroom on the second floor.
The Lumpkins Ballroom, which opens to a skylighted Mezzanine, offers 6,560 square feet of space – the largest hotel event space in Santa Fe – accommodating up to 750 for a reception or 550 for a sit-down banquet. The spacious room is easily divided to accommodate various sized exhibit sessions, seminars or receptions.
La Terraza is one of Santa Fe’s most unique and luxurious banquet rooms, offering breathtaking views of the St. Francis Cathedral Basilica and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Filled with architectural detail, the 2,295 square feet of space can accommodate 180 for a sit-down banquet or 225 for a reception. Lovely french doors fold open to extend the space onto the lush La Terraza Garden Patio.
