Introducing “A View at the Plaza” Webisodes

I am very excited to introduce the premier of our new web series, “A View at the Plaza”. We hope that this will be the first of many behind-the-scenes glimpses of life at La Fonda.

I spent half a day with a very small crew filming this first webisode that takes viewers on a tour of some of my favorite places in the hotel.  It contains a bit of history, architecture and a few personal stories that combine to make La Fonda what it is today.

We’ll be shooting and posting more throughout the year. I’d love to hear what you would like to see and learn about next. You can look forward to more inside stories and maybe a few special guests.

The first “A View at the Plaza” is up now on our YouTube Channel. Check it out and I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Here’s a funny out take from our day of shooting, just for you, my loyal View From the Plaza readers:

This webisode is outstanding. The blooper makes me feel very much at home. I had the same experience when I went for an almond croissant. C’est la vie.
The carved cathedral windows in the Front Desk foreshadow the Basilica. I can sit in the lobby and stare at them for quite a while, knowing that the great food of La Plazuela is lurking behind me.

If I didn’t already know the Hotel, I would be fast upon my way to get there!!!
